In many instances your website is the first point of contact for your business or organisation. The website must reflect the aims and practises of your business, a cheap-looking website immediately giving the viewer an impression of a low quality business. It is however possible to have an inexpensive website that through the use of quality graphics, etc that gives the viewer a very positive opinion. Most websites are designed to either entertain or inform. An information site should not waste the viewers time by making them wait 5 minutes as the first page loads. They will have moved on to another site after the first minute. Guaranteed. An information site should have mainly text and small graphical content (go to Northern Rehabitation Management). A more entertaining site (go to www.hothouseparty.com) can have wild rather than mild colours and more graphics, although we still prefer to have photos loaded as thumbnail size, which then click through to a larger image. We optimise all web content for rapid loading, even with the advent of Broadband, as this has simply made viewers more impatient! |
